Andy4Shaw all my engine work was done by a guy local to me who’s a vw specialist he converts these engines in his sleep he knows that much about them. My set up now is running 200bhp with the standard turbo so once I change to hybrid I could potentially push a lot more as he’s told me.

As for the shafts he’s mate bolt straight on again the guy who done my engine said the mk5 golf gti ones are a lot more rated for the torque and power also they sit a lot better if the van is lowered.
Here’s my cooler Image

Andy4Shaw as for a new brake set up I’m not sure read lots of reviews about people chasing to r32 brakes front and rear and not really noticing the difference so I’m either going for something like s3 or the brembo 18z’s all depends on costs I guess

Yeah that makes sense re the driveshafts, and I obviously want to lower it!!
What other mods have you done to get 200bhp? I bet the van goes like a scalded cat in comparison to before?

PD130 Conversion

Post by Azz03 »

Andy4Shaw it’s got pd150 injectors egr delete full straight through stainless exhaust hard pipe kit s3 intercooler and I used the golf turbo for now until I go hybrid. The guy I know who does these conversions can get 200bhp safely out of a 1.6tdi

The engine I had in it before was at around 185/190bhp so it’s not much of a difference still moves pretty quick and it’s a gti killer haha

Dt33 yes mate as the caddy’s are pretty much based on mk5 golf as I’m running mk5 gti front shocks a lot of vw parts are compatible with the vans

Hi, okay ideal, yeah just doing my build at present have fitted passat hubs, lower arms along with MK5 platform H&R springs and Koni shocks , fitted a BKD shaft drivers side but the shaft I got for the passengers side was wrong (think they sent a 5 speed instead of a 6 speed) wanted to check GTI ones worked as well :)

Dt33 that’s also on my list to change the lower arms to Passat ones. Did you go for b6 ones? Also then poly bush everything front and back. Yes mate as far as I’m aware pretty anything mk5/6 will fit the vans very versatile vans lol

Have you got to 300bhp yet? Could you tell us how it drives?

Dt33 it’s from a company called creation motorsport based in the West Midlands or you can get the kit off eBay.
