2006 SDI build thread

Hi all, I’ve just purchased my first caddy it’s a 2006 2.0 SDI, it was a non runner when I bought it, requiring a starter motor and a battery, after fitting these it fired straight up and seems to be a good runner, the bodywork is fairly tidy for the age although it has been resprayed here is a pic on the day of purchase

The first job I did was to remove the vinyl graphics with a heat gun and then tar remover to get rid of the glue residue. Then I fitted some spare 18” golf gti Monza alloys
