AT Tyre for 2009 Maxi Life

Post by Gyan »

Want to put 215/60 on my Maxi 16” rims.
Something like the Yokohama Geolander G015.
Diameter 664mm … 5% larger.
Has anyone used these 16” Geolander?
Do they rub anywhere?
They look like a great dirt road tyre for Australia.

I don't have that particular Geolandar tyre, but I do have that size Geolandars on my 2012 Maxi and they fit...just. I have seen slight rub marks on the inner plastic fenders where they've rubbed when bottoming out the suspension. I will go in with a heat gun and move them a little to give more clearance. They are also very close to the edge of the body work (obviously due to my offset used (standard Tiguan offset), so I've added some rubber fender flares to cover the tyre a little more and keep it legal.

Thanks Mangrovejack
I understand the 215/60 on 16”rims are going to be a tight fit, especially at back of rear inner plastic fender.
Might try the AT Goodride 369 205/60 as they are a bit smaller … diameter 652mm.
Thanks again for reply

They would work out without any rubbing (at least on my caddy) for sure.

I did want the maximum size for mine though as I want it as high as possible (and will be installing a 30mm lift front and rear soon too).
