Re: Retrofitting ac into my caddy
OK understood. Thanks again for both your input I'm a lot further than I was

Caddy 2006 SDI BST, HNN gearbox, which loses oil through seals if I go over 3k revs
Touran dashboard, electric windows, rear seat conversion, fully sound deadend and carpeted.
Resprayed indium grey outside my house using rattle cans, a pop up tent and a fishing bivvy.
Paintwork looks great in the rain

Re: Retrofitting ac into my caddy
So I've used my new electrical skills and took a piece of red 14 gauge wire, removed the flap control motor and tied the wire onto the mechanism.
Now all I have to do is pull on the wire and it will move the heater setting to full heat.
If I require the cold setting I just have to drive over a pot hole which automatically sets it to cold.
