@stu_b

Im the only one using the van on a daily basis. The entire camper van part will be for me really. I only need to transport my father in his wc every now and then. Thats the reason i cannot go to a dedicated camper van build.

The wc ramp is still fully usable, i made the counter easily removable with two butterfly bolts.

Most of the bed and the full counter will be stored in my attic with the rest of the camping equipment. But i can easily install them when needed.

Yes its using shore power, whenever ill go camping i will mostly go to a small "farm" camping site or something similar. I like the fact that you have easy access to shower/toilets/water and a bit of extra security as i need to keep my expensive EMTB outside :lol:

Regarding the counter and the induction plate placement. The tap and small sink will come on the other side but i will still have a large amount of space to use when they are there.

And yes he is enjoying a nice Belgian Peach Fruit beer 8)

I also created an POE (Power Over Ethernet) port in the car. Which im going to use with a wifi repeater (powered over an ethernet port) thats going to be placed on the roof (not permanently obviously :lol: ). That way i should be able to easily receive wifi on every camping site,

As an IT system administrator i had to incorporate a bit of IT equipment in this project ;)

glad your Dad still gets to enjoy a beer
and driven around in style :)

it's nice to have the creature comforts when your camping but not all fit in the caddy - long hot showers, flushing toilets etc but campsites provide an option if you need it
plus you get to meet some pretty nice people

the POE set up looks interesting
maybe you could share it in a how to for others to emulate

Yes exactly, a hotspot is a nice backup option but not the preffered option really. It will drain your phone battery very quickly and the phone will get rather hot :lol: . And im not talking about the possible extra costs. Wifi would be the best option if it is available.

Well the bed is nearly finished. Turned out great, very sturdy.

The bed is made of 3 pieces. The larger part can be hinged up and mounted to the wall.
The other part can be installed with a few bolts and stored in the attic. I also made a handle so its easy to carry arround.

Really innovative build this, I like how you’ve managed to do these mods while keeping it compliant with local laws. You’ve done great work so far.

Thanks @ the swan friend

@stu_b
Yes its rather high but the bed simply comes out to much if i had mounted it against the wheel arch. Now its using space again that it'd rather normally don't really use. and i can also walk in the middle.

I'm now lacquering the entire bed which is quite time consuming ..... but worth it :lol:

I also have some more additional idea's i want to incorporate in the counter.

Also now have a sliding door with an opening window. But as its against the law to have a window that can be opened on the road. I made a bracket and removed the handle from the window. Which should make it legal but still usable when i unscrew a few bolts.

Ill also finish the wifi repeater install this weekend. And explain and show what it will do :D
