Hey all!
Has anyone had an experience with vehicle specific kits from Crown Customs? I'm specifically looking at the Hertz kit (link below).
It's on budget for the mids/tweeters and I'm looking to spend something similar again on an active underseat sub.
My head unit (Teyes CC3 2k) has a dedicated RCA sub out so I'm thinking of using that as a line in for the active sub rather tapping into and routing new speaker cables. Again, happy to consider other suggestions though.
The products I'm looking at are below. Hoping to do this for a max of £500 all-in.

Subs
Pioneer TS-WX400DA
or
Alpine PWE-S8 or PWE-V80 (is one just a newer version of the other?)

hertz are great speakers. make sure you spend enough money on the installation materials, sound deadening and finding rattles, or great speakers will still sound rubbish

Re: Advice wanted on Speaker / Soundsystem Upgrades - Looking at Crown Customs
I bought a vehicle specific kit from Crown Customs. Bought the Vibe kit. Really can't complain about the speakers. My kit also came with some sound deadening and a foam pad for behind the door speaker. If your kit doesn't come with any of that make sure you get some sound deadening. Door will need done.
The only issue I had was the way they wired in the tweeters to the loom. Was a cheap lazy cut bodge job, it probably would have still worked fine though and was hidden by loom taping over.
I just rewired the tweeters straight into the terminal block. However my kit was for a Caddy that didn't come with OEM factory tweeters fitted. If yours has tweeters fitted already this won't be a problem as the wiring should already be present.
Upgraded door speakers alone will make a huge difference. It's unbelievable how bad the OEM ones are.

Not the same kit but I added hertz Mille pro speakers and tweeters powered by an audison amp with an audison sun under the seat.
It’s definitely overkill for such a small space with a bulkhead fitted. Sounds great though and can really thump if needed.
I’ve been chasing trim rattles ever since.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Will definitely be taking my time with sound deadening and rattle hunting!
