Hi I'm on a road trip in Spain and Portugal my sliding door lock is making a loud noise coming from the mechanism when trying to open or close the door with the remote.
It also won't lock even trying to use the manual button from inside.
Any ideas what this could be? Is it fixable? I'm guessing the black mechanism needs replacing
Many thanks James

Just found this video on YouTube mine make the same sound right at the start of the video so I'm suspecting it definitely needs a new door mechanism bloody nightmare haha

Bugger! Hope you get it sorted or you’ll just have to park close up to walls.

Remove the door card and inspect it, might be something simple.

Thanks I removed the mechanism which locks the door from the outside as the outside handle isn't connected to it anymore
but I can still open it from the inside so the pressure is off at least.
Luckily I brought some tools as it needed a spline M8 to remove it.
After some research its the plastic gear inside that breaks the teeth off it you can buy them off eBay

So I can get it posted to me in Spain when It arrives
