I'm attempting to repair an issue I have with my Caddy 2009 1.9tdi 2-door. When I engage the locking for the van the back door makes an awful grinding noise, and the locking mechanism doesn't engage. It's been like that for years - surprised nobody hasn't stolen it yet
So, I have a few questions perhaps somebody could answer, without opening up the black plastic housing and losing all the springs etc. in the process, what would your best guess be in terms of what the problem might be? Any idea of the cost here in Australia and are there any reputable online shops that would sell the right component?
