Hi all,
I'm looking to swap my stock headunit in my MK4 2017 Caddy Maxi to an aftermarket one to use with android auto for navigation. I'm looking at this one in particular:

I am a complete novice when it comes to this stuff, so I called up a local car electrician to see if he could fit it, and he mentioned something about not being able to do it due to a radio code and some security when removing the stock headunit.
I just need to know, what exactly do I need to do to be able to swap out the headunit for a new one, without messing anything else up? Do I need to take it to an official VW dealer?
Thanks!

You dont need any code. Just rip out the old one, and put the new one in.
Im very happy with this one
