Busy weekend on the van. Had the glass fitted few weekends ago, so first job I got the aerial bolted and connected back up, and roof liner etc. then decide to have a little drive up the road, it’s been off the road 5 years, and managed to blow a pipe off, so parked it back up and changed jobs to a little paint work, and got some of my badges painted up. Last job of the weekend was to modify the rear arch add on piece for the bumper (like the caddy alltrack). As I have a hybrid bumper it is deeper that the standard one, so needed to extend this piece to fit. So got it sized up, hot stables and plastic welded to fix the two pieces together, then filled and 2k primed. So all in all a good weekends work

Todays job were more like of the cosmetic kind. Reupholster the inner roof with more of the foam backed suede fabric. The inner roof comes from a caddy maxi life -16.

Finally got my newly reupholstered suede head liner in the car. 8/9 clips snapped in nicely with some persuasion. The 9th I probably will have to try to exchange. My girlfriend is very happy not having it in the living room anymore.

This weekend I fully stripped the interior of my maxi life, sound deadened, insulated everywhere I could and then put it all back. What a PITA but has made such a difference to road noise!

Topped up the adblue, didn't register that I'd done it :?
Ordered rear number plate lights as one has died overnight.
Enabled needle sweep.
Enabled multifunction display.
Took the mib2 entry out to work out how a satnav will fit in.

Patiently waiting on mats, a gearknob, and a multifunction steering wheel that I've ordered.

Baffled my brain with steering control modules, and couldn't even find one on Ebay.

Got rid of the nasty gearknob.

Image

Pulled out the headunit once I found out how much current it draws while I'm sleeping.

Replaced rear number plate lights.

Cleaned this ready for an install in the next couple of days.

Anyone got a highline squib to go with it?
