The wind noise really irritates me too. Would be nice to know if anyone has done it?

My mirrors whistle like crazy! Try going round masking bits up to see if you can identify the source...

My 07 had extra seals on the front doors, after replacing the drivers door I didn't put the extra seal back on and saw/heard no difference. The seal is still dangling from my shelf in the workshop 3/4 years on lol.

It's on my to do list after I get some money back in my caddy funds piggy bank.

Hi folks,
Sorry if I'm reviving an old thread, but we're just after the storm here this weekend, and when I was driving through the water, it sounded like I had the doors open!

I'm thinking of adding the extra seals to the driver and passenger doors and the two sliding doors as well if I can. If anyone could give any info on the amount needed or the best place to get them, that would be great.

Also, @doc, did you ever get around to adding the additional door seals?
If you did, could you say if they made much difference or not?

Cheers!

Cheers mate,

Surprised at the price, but I'll probably have to give on and buy them.

Any idea if there's similar for the twin sliding doors?

There isn't an all round extra seal but there is an extra seal you may not have.

There are three available seals shown in this diagram
32 is an optional seal - Executive comfort equipment - Special interior noise suppression.

I fitted some generic door seals to my front doors that I got from Amazon. They have made a small difference. I think they cost me about £15

Thumbs up to that Swanny 👍

I don't have the extra rear door one on my LIFE and if I were to do anything I think I would use some generic stuff from Amazon too.

The front and rear diagrams on LLL show pretty well where to place them ...

Thanks everyone for the help.

I saw seals on Vanstyle, but they only stock ones designed for VW Transporters.
I also saw generic seals on eBay/Amazon, but wasn't sure if they were worth buying.

If anyone can recommend any good generics, I'd appeciat it!

@petrev

I wondered was there any seals on the sliding door on either the Caddy Life or Touran.

Seems there isn't, so no easy fix there either!

Hey mate have a look on the van style eBay page, they have a listing for MK3/4 caddy seals.. The stock image is of a transporter however so not entirely sure it will work. I have ordered a set due to arrive early next week I can update once fitted (or attempted to  )

Fair play mate.
I contacted one of the eBay sellers and they said that their product will do the job (naturally enough I guess?)

I've got stuff from Vanstyle before and it was good, so if you wouldn't mind, let me know how you get on with the seals once you fit them
Cheers👍🏻

I've ordered 8m of this:

I'll report back once I receive it but it looks very similar to the one on eBay. They do two sizes too.
