Looking to rub it down, treat the rust, etch prime and spray it India blue or perhaps finish with black gravitex, not sure yet.

Hiya, cheers!
I bought one from eBay a while back the other was from LLL parts, both genuine VW Caddy door seals.
Cuts out a little noise but makes the doors sound so nice when closing!

Let the build begin - Plushed/Bagged VR6
Touran xenon headlights fitted this morning, straight forward enough. Halfway house for now (manual level adjustment) until I’ve tried them for a bit.

Need to get rid of the moisture with some silica gel sachets to get rid of the moisture, downside of long term storage and fitting them on a cold, wet drizzly day

Halfway house : removed the Touran stepper motors and replaced them with the original Caddy headlight height adjustment motors. Holding off on fitting the front and rear level sensors and the control module for automatic levelling until I’ve run them for a bit to make sure I’m happy with them.

Original stepper motor on the way out

Caddy motor installed with the original fittings, you’ve got to love VW for their multi use parts!
Additional wires run from the CECM to headlights to operate the Shutters for main beam, coding ticked and most importantly, no warning light on the instrument cluster and no flickering!
Going to swap out the H7 halogen lamps in a few weeks to try and match the colour temperature to the xenon’s.
Then… automatic levelling and headlight washers!

Brilliant thread! Love a VR6, how does the caddy feel on full power? Sketchy or still planted enough?

Planted when it’s dry, very, very sketchy from a standing start when it’s wet!

Hi buddy, yes, just caps. The holes give access to the original fixing points for the shelf

Yes, however it all depends on the year of your van, door module, etc…
There will also be details in the how to part of the forum, best to get your post count up and request an upgrade and check in there.

Re: Let the build begin - Plushed/Bagged VR6
So, it’s been a while…
Finally took the plunge and upgraded from my premium colour display to a digital display, straight forward job, old one out, stripped down to the pcb, installed into the back of the digital display with a very slight modification to the back right hand side of the dash cowling (to clear a small part of the new case).
Good fit in the Touran dash, no gaps, no issues setting up
Loving it!
Oh, and the warning lights were separate issues, now all sorted apart from the seat belt warning, this is new since upgrading to the digital cluster. I’ll sort that one out by wiring in the seatbelt switches.

Hi Alex, yes, I believe so. I went from a diesel cluster to this one.
PM me if you want to see the dash in person and we can sort something out

I have these in my mk4 caddy and you can change the clocks to diesel rev/mph range in the settings.
