I find it's really comfortable I hate having nothing to rest my left arm on when driving especially long journeys plus I think it looks a lot smarter.

They look a nice colour - hard to keep so pristine clean ?

The ones in the earlier pictures were from an Audi A3. I’ve since fitted a pair or tartan golf GTI seats.
My mate has a carpet cleaning machine so I normally ask him to run over them once a year for a few beers!

If you get Touran bases then any seats fit from the golf 5,6, Audi A3 8P, etc as well as many others, if you use the standard Caddy H frames, you can drop the front seat bolts in but need to drill new holes for the rear fixings.

Better to have the Touran bases. They also have pull out storage bins.

I put golf GTi MK3 seats in my MK2 Caddy SDI and they were the best upgrade ever. I intend to put MK5/6 GTi or GTD seats in this one.

No, the point of fitting the Touran bases, is so that you can fit alternative seats from other VAG models. The standard Caddy seats don't fit the Touran bases as the seat bolts are different spacing from front to back.

If you wanted the Touran bases only for the storage bins and kept your own Caddy seats, you'd have to drill the bases just like if you swap the seats but keep the original bases.

I don't for sure mate but lots of folk have fitted Golf 5,6, R, Audi S3,S4,S5 and I'm certain some Passat seats, so I can't see why not, it's not too late a generation but remember there may be an issue if your van has seat airbags (Mine doesn't for example) and if so, the plugs may not be compatible.

But if you like them and they're reasonable then it's maybe worth a shot.

Best idea, get the length from front to back between bolts and the width across between bolts, on the actual seat base you want to buy (as initially the caddy bases are shorter bolt spacing front to back but the width should be the same) then check the same on a seat from a golf 5 or 6 In the breakers and you'll know for sure before buying them. Often people will check for you with a tape if they are selling them online.

If the width is the same then you're into a winner if you don't need airbags. Then it's a case of drill two extra holes or get Touran bases (these seem to be getting harder to find or more expensive or both however)

Ah sorry yeah of course. But if you can get the bolt measurements then you'll know if they will fit before buying them.
