Mine accepts the coding but when i activate the cruise i get the cruise symbol and the exclamation mark and then when i scan it i see the stored fault for cruise set signal. It is very frustrating but will get it sorted..........................eventually

Looks like you have to recode the steering wheel module to the options you have, after adding cruise to the engine ECU, here's a video on the golf 5 which must be the same I expect.
