And thank you very much for posting all the useful info with part numbers. Regarding the wheel, I definitely want to go for that mod. Provided I have DSG 96kW Highline that appears to be possible. I have a few additional questions.
The coding after swap - in VCDS, does that only include going into Steering wheel and enabling tiptronic steering wheel bit in long coding helper, or did you have to do anything more?
Then the red LED backlight mod - did you re-solder the LEDs as you wanted them or how did you do that? I consider buying Touran wheel, but then swapping the MF buttons from my current Caddy wheel. The shift paddles should connect to the buttons from behind, and I assume they are essentially the same, just with red backlight. My only concern is removing the gloss black trim - I'm afraid of damaging it. I saw one vid on youtube where the guy wrecked it badly. I suppose you had to remove that at least once in order to change the LEDs. Can it be done without breaking it, provided I know where the holding pins are?
