Well fitting new pendulum rubbers in the subframe do need the correct tools.
So that can wait.
Rack swapped over as the floods had killed the original one. Just need to torque everything up and then get the tracking done.
Oh it is a good idea to check/replace your subframe bolts.
Well been a busy weekend. Had the glow plug light com on on the way home on Friday. Read the codes and it showed a low fuel pressure on valve 1 and 2.
So basics, change fuel filter and the lower cost fuel pressure sensor. Did one no change did the other no change. So it looks like it is the regulator. Will be picking one up tomorrow so that going to be a busy Monday night.
Well it is off to have the injectors pulled and checked as changing the pressure valves and regulator and the HPFP have not cured the low pressure isdue.
Mmmmm problem still there, changed the lift pump. Still there but it is better than it has been.
So…… everything in the fuel system has been changed. The HP pump was an eBay special so might be NOK.
But at the same time the problem only started after visiting a main dealer to code in the rack. And they had problems doing that.
Does anyone have a fuel pressure map I can look at to confirm or quash the thoughts going through my mind. Is the map saying give more fuel than it should so the sensors say fault pressure low?
Looking to get the old HP Pump tested to see how it behaves.
