I need 5mm wheel spacers which I will be fitting tomorrow as they will hit the caliper or bigger offset wheels 🤣

Iv been speaking to a company about getting some aswel, but my concave wheel design might mean I need spacers.
They gave me cardboard template dimensions to check

They look great Sean. I’ve just had a quote to have my brakes professionally stripped and painted and rebuilt, £665!

@swan fiend
That’s a lot of money especially when there not cheap to start of with.
That’s why I did them myself.
To be fair I think I’ve done a nice job 😉

Watched a lot of YouTube videos on removing the piston and how to free the stuck ones. Also how to clean and paint them.
Then I started sanding all the old paint off removing the pistons.
Then just spray paint them with caliper paint.
I just bought a cheap spray gun. I already have a compressor as I use them for work.

Been a very busy weekend.
I managed to remove my old axle, brakes, anti roll bar and drop links.

Fitted new axle that I adjusted to take a bracket for my dual caliper setup.

Fitted the new drop links, antiroll bar and new wheel speed sensors.

Then I started to fit all the new parts that I got together over the last few months. Started with the brake dust covers then new wheel bearing new discs then finally the dual caliper setup.
I got all the hand brake working. All I have left to do is make a brake pipe to feed the 4 pot caliper

My van would definitely benefit from a similar bunch of replacement parts!

How much hassle are the rear wheel bearings to do?

@rob.
Tbh it’s pretty much straight forward remove the calipers and disc. You will need a long breaker bar to remove the wheel bearing bolt and the bearing just comes off easily enough
