I have built a 2011 BWA Tfsi using a 2006 VW Eos doner. Been running it a few months now using the diesel clocks but they only go to 6k. How do I go about swapping the dash internal so it all works. Also will the mileage now be that of the VW Eos and cause immobiliser issues. Engine ecu as imo off carried out.
Tried to search Caddy Chat but coz I ain't got my big boy pants, cant search rest of the forum.
TIA

Re: TFSI clock swap
You can dismantle the clocks and could possibly fit the front part with the correct dials from the donor (if it's a physical match) but likely the best source is a petrol golf MK5 front display panel as that's what the caddy MK3 is based on, since if you swapped the ECU from the donor (doner is a kebab) then the correct CAN messages will be getting sent to the clocks but the display numbering is wrong. So with the correct front panel, the display should read correctly. The mileage would not be altered.
You can't swap the whole clocks anyway as the immo is built into the rear section circuit board. Well not without proper gear to match it up again, and both donor and original immo security PIN etc would be needed too I'm sure. Not easy on the Mk5 clocks or the Caddy ones.
However I have to ask, 6k rpm is not enough? Lol

Re: TFSI clock swap
Thanks for the help/info. The Caddy clocks register the correct rpm of the engine just wanted an extra 2K. Its not the end of the world as plenty of other jobs to be getting on with as the van is an ex builders van.
Yes still waiting to get approved to I can search within the forum.

I have a similar issue - moving from the UK to Ireland and I'd like a KM speedo but it sounds like a lot of hassle.
