Hi guys got a 60 plate 1.9 tdi caddy had it for 3 years not a bit of bother. lately though it starts on the button every time but now will run to 20 mins or so then cut out and will not start for about an hour then does the same again.Garage has changed the fuel filter and cam sensor but no joy and no fault codes showing.
Can any one shed some light on this please
TIA

Re: Caddy cutting out
I think, it's more likely a crank sensor then, if they fitted a genuine cam sensor (aftermarket ones seem not to work on the Caddy) and also you have no codes. (The crank sensor does not throw a code afaik) They can get hot and fail, then work again when they cool down.
Cam sensors when they fail, will generate a fault code.
It can't be a fuel issue as it starts every time when cold. The 1.9 TDI engines used to have an issue with air being drawn back into the injection pump overnight but you obviously don't have that as it caused cold start issues not hot start or cutting out once started.

Re: Caddy cutting out
Turns out it was a valve in the top of the fuel filter not working and not allowing fuel back to the tank so the fuel was getting hot and the fuel temp sensor was cutting off the fuel.
