Another White Caddy...

Post by corrigan42 »

Bought this 2019 Caddy last weekend.
110,000 miles, FSH, cambelt done recently, and for an excellent price!
Image

First thing to do is to get rid of these awful bumpers. I ordered a painted bumper from eBay that was surprisingly good quality and colour match
Image

Also ordered some pre-painted grills in gloss black, and I wrapped part of the top grille in gloss red vinyl
Image

Looking much better!
Image

Also fitted some fog lights, and tinted them yellow
Image

Annoyingly, I fitted the new bumper before realising I had to fit the top grille first!

Not bad for a day's work as a newbie!

Now just waiting on these wheels to arrive!

Already have the Eibach lowering kit. If anyone could send me a tutorial for fitting them, I'd really appreciate it, as I don't have access to the full forum as a new member

Annoyingly, it didn't! I've watched plenty of YouTube videos of it though, so I'll be giving it a go this weekend :D

Ripped out all of the old ply lining, revealing the dirt underneath

After lots of hoovering and 2x hoover bags full, she's all clean now

Did the cheapo wiper delete by removing the arm and motor, and plugging the hole with this from Toolstation
Bargain for £1 and the colour match is almost perfect!

Had 2x attempts at trying to wrap the rear windows in vinyl... did not go well! I'm usually good at wrapping, but I caved and just paid the professionals to do it

I saw someone else on here do it, but was amazed how well it fit and how close the colour is!

I went into my local garage to ask about wheels and they suggested 18” Bola VTS rims. What did you get? Are you putting big brakes on?

*Edit: and what tyres are you putting on and why did you go for the Bola rims?

These are 18" Bola B26 - 8x18 5x112 ET35-45

Image

I went for these simply because I love the look of them  Most other wheels at this price point all look the same, and I wanted something different!
I know they will fit, as my brother's Caddy has rims with the same size/width/offset.
Didn't want 19" wheels as I would have to have a lower profile tyre then, and didn't want the rougher ride that would come with that.
Tyres are 225/40/18 Firestone Firehawk SZ90, bought them from wheelbase with tyres fitted and balanced.

Bigger brakes may be on the cards in the future, but the mod list is growing, and that is probably near the bottom lol

Front lowering springs installed!
Image

Looks pretty funny with the stock 15" steelies
Image

Started to do the axle flip on the rear, and both the leaf springs have rusted out and snapped right in the middle
Image
Cracked on with it regardless, now just have to wait for some new ones to arrive
