Re: Xenon retrofit MK4 caddy
Further to what @oldseacaptain says, have you tested to see if any wires at the headlight plug are live when the engine is running but lights are off? If you have a wire which is live in that situation, it could be the drl feed and needs moved or bridged to the one which goes live when sidelights are on. There were usually two circuits, one for bright drl and one for dimmed drl as a sidelight. Both go dead when main lights are turned on.
If one wire is live when all lights are off, engine running, but no drl is showing, there's your issue perhaps.

Re: Xenon retrofit MK4 caddy
I’ll have to check for a feed but the thing thats confusing me is that the drl’s work when i do an output test. But i will check for a feed just to be sure.

Re: Xenon retrofit MK4 caddy
Output test could be putting on both lines so the sidelight actually comes on and looks like it's the drl, just a possibility?

Re: Xenon retrofit MK4 caddy
This is the number one resource for all things Caddy but only because the users have put their time and effort into sharing their knowledge. I don't think anyone would have done it if they thought their posts would one day get locked behind a forum rule that is now affecting committed Caddy owners and can't be overturned even when these new members meet the requirements of the forum.FishermansFriend wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 12:30 pm Hi, it is against forum rules to post info from the How To Section in the Caddy Chat section but if you want to confirm if you have the correct BCM then let me know the part number. Maybe you already have them but you will also need (2) Power Moudles and (2) Control Units parts 4 and 6 in this diagram.

I hope this current state is only temporary and DOC will return one day and find the forum in the way he left it.

Save your original code just in case.

I will jump on my laptop abit later aswell just to confirm that is the coding on vcds.
Hope that helps.
I have upgraded my caddy also with original bi xenons
But only the the running lights and high beam works .
Drls and inner light doenst work and get a fault code .
Can i use this also on Bcm pq35 m+ 122 0193 ?
Already have tried to activate them with vcds but the longcoding doesn't seem to work ? ? If i check them on and do the coding . And then go back to the helper nothing is changed ? Somebody any idea whats the problem here ?

Some modules won't code with ignition on, but the tool will prompt you when to turn it on and off again. I find that with central electrics and Obdeleven. Try first with ignition off and then see what it tells you to do.
