Looks like someone has Docs login details and has posted that no one will be getting their access upgraded. That's why the thread that everyone has been posting in to request access, been emptied.

You have all been dumped.

If it was him, he could have done the upgrades. Don't know about everyone else but I'm done with this nonsense.

That's great news that he's OK.

It makes the whole situation even more baffling however. If he's just had enough of running the place that's understandable. But loads of people get a lot from the forum, so why not just hand the reigns over to someone else, or a team of volunteers? Why not open up the restricted forums? Why sit back and watch the forum die, after building it up for so many years, whilst still paying for domain, hosting, etc? It's so strange...!

Again, genuinely glad the dude is OK. I was worried some ill health or family catastrophe had befallen him.

it was vwcaddy.com the guy knocked it on the head and started doing retrofication.

Well done, I totally forgot that. Yeah I have Facebook but it is utter shite so I never post anything there. Most of the questions are absolute nonsense and the replies are even worse.

my build thread from my pickup among other things was on there.

proper annoyed me when it went, there were some good guys on there as well, had great knowledge and not only on VW stuff.

Yeah I liked that forum, I did a lot of photoshopping on there, for folk wanting to see their van lowered, or with different wheels etc. I photoshopped my white MK2 into a battle scene from the early version of COD and it looked really pukka, parked at the side of the street amongst the other vehicles. Loved it. Was about 2008-2011 I was on there.

It seems folk do get fed up of running a forum and bin it. Shame really.

My handle on there was Flyspeck, I did an article on how to clean the VNT turbo and cure limp mode overboost, using Mr Muscle foam oven cleaner and silicone tubing, through the egr opening in the hot wheel casing. It was a big hit - Jan 2011. I found the list of articles on the Wayback Machine but the actual page wasn't crawled so can't open it. Ah well.
