MK4 maxi Life Roof Lining Removal
Any guides about in how to do this. Figured alot of it out but it's seems to still be fixed with hidden clips around the roof.

Which part of roof lining you want to remove? The one inside the cabin?

Re: MK4 maxi Life Roof Lining Removal
Sussed it out today & all sorted, not too challenging once you understand the design of the retaining clips
This worked for MK4 without the roof side pockets
1 remove seat belt upper bolts
2 remove plastics behind seatbelts, loosening fronts will make taking top out easier
3 remove grab handles, visors
4 remove rear small headlining, a few expander plugs & tailgate seal hold it
5 remove centre light using body panel tool, there’s a steel edge in the headlining that the light is clipped into
6 remove front internal light cover, remove screws that hold the light fitting to roof
7 remove alarm sensor ditto to centre light
8 loosen the headlining all the way around its lowest edge & free it from any metalwork protrusions
9 gently pull the whole headlining from the rear & it will slide back, may need a bit of freeing/wiggling
10 gently lower headlining under control if possible with help in front seats so it doesn’t drop
11 2 orange retaining straps on very rear 2 clips will hold up the back of the linining
12 these are held in with 2 steel clips that can be squeezed & removed from bodywork to allow complete lowering & removal
13 9 clips should stay in roof/body that slide into slots on the headlining…will make sense when you see them
Will load pics once I learn how

Re: MK4 maxi Life Roof Lining Removal
Forgot to come back earlier to say thanks, got it off as much as needed to run a wire through for the rear camera. Just need to finish off the wiring now.
