Stumbled upon your thread looking at doing similar work with my newly acquired Caddy Maxi 2.0 TDI 4M.

Trying to navigate all the different opinions on sound treatment and insulation is a nightmare when you're a little bit too used to falling down the rabbit hole of research before getting started!

Feels a little bit better following a fellow Swede knowing you might encounter similar environments although I live a fair few hours up north between Åre and Östersund.

A question regarding the cargo flooring. How do you fasten the flooring on top of the sound and insulation treatment? Glue I'd assume is out of the picture as it would only adhere to the insulation foam. Did you screw or bolt it down on top of the treatment?

Love your build and attention to detail, looking forward to the continuation of the thread!

By spec I guess you mean the basic van as I bought it. It’s an ex British Gas van so the classic blue maxi, 1.6tdi and it’s the 102bhp but I’m not sure what the difference in engines is to make it that....
Cool mate! Sorry for late reply. Been of from the forum for a while. Same engine as me then. I also bought mine for transporting bikes (doing some triathlons), motorbikes and so on. And I hope the camper conversion vill still allow that.

Yeah, it is cool to see all the different solutions and styles to modify these Caddys in. Once in a while you see something that is too good to not copy :D

Nice to see a fellow Swede here as well! Yeah, I think we almost get a totally different climate than most of the other users here on this forum. Although, I'm guessing that you get even colder temperatures than I do.

The floring actually isnt glued, it is just placed on top of the insulation. It doesnt seem to move anyway. It is cut quite tight to the sides and front and back.

Thank you buddy! Your van has the spec i wish mine had. 1,6 TDI with the DQ200 DSG gearbox I have on mine. Probably the worst combo out there.
How are your build comming along?

Got hold of some Touran door cards a while back. Pulled them a part, reupholstered the center sections and armrests in black alcantara to match the ceiling and pillars. Nice enough upgrade

Made an LH inner panel in glass fiber, plan is to upholster it in alcantara as well. If it al works out, I’ll continue on with the RH.

Got my hands on a set of MK4 Rear lights. Started searching what was needed repinning wise and in the end I came up with this:

(Mind you, i have a LHD van)

At first, all the functions worked, but there were still some fields that didn’t work. But it turned out to be broken bulbs, not the pinning or coding.

Now, how do I get rid of the broken bulb light on the dashboard? From DTVs video I thought the coding would be an easy fix. But in regular fashion when I’m doing something I have a bit of bad luck. Seems like Caddy’s 2010-2015 have a different BCM (09 Central Electric) than pre facelift. Just Ross tech VCDS doesn’t seem to cut it.

Thank you Mate! It has taken me a lot longer to do, and I have done a lot more, than the initial plan were.
