2013 Caddy Highline

Post by Wudy »

Got myself a new Caddy for work, first car/van I've ever had from new, and first I've owned with less than 100k on it already!

As with most things, when I do something I do it properly, and my van was no different. Went for a Highline, with the 2.0TDI 140PS engine.
Few other options including the twin side doors which my last Caddy (2005) had, but kept the split rear doors rather than a tailgate that my previous one had too.

Picking up from the dealer, new next to old (8 miles vs 154,000 miles)

And finally home

Waiting for the signwriters...

Was a long wait and got bored, so off came the rear wiper

Finally got it signed up!

Think the number on the back is a bit big though? Should be smaller so it fits in between the badges and not squeezed underneath. But overall quite happy with how it looks!

Not many future plans for this, already got my side rail covers on order though. Over time I might not resist the temptation to get some bigger wheels (maybe just 18") and a small drop.

It's a slippery slope. If you don't want to do much, don't do anything :D

Nice new van though chief.

That's nice I was looking for a 2.0 highline spec but could not wait 10-12 weeks so brought a 1.6 dsg, with only 3k on the clock and saved myself over 10k ! collected it on Sunday and tbh it's a little flyer i was very surprised how well it goes I'm liking dsg.

But feck its like a land rover, I collected some eibach's today.

Ohh yes I know all about the slope haha. Have & do own Mk2 Golf's (money pits) and had a Bora before which had enough money spent on it to buy another one! But this one does need to be practical for work so I tried to spec it up enough that I could try and leave it as it is... we shall see how long that lasts!

Looks good Ding-Dong! But will look great with the drop! I was going to go for the 1.6 (as I could've had it within about 2 weeks!) but I wanted the twin side doors and they're special order anyway, so figured I'd have some more power too. Having owned the 1.9TDI 104PS before there had been a few occasions when I just ran out of power (do a lot of rural driving in hilly areas!) with an empty van. As I'll be doing some towing in the future I didn't want to risk running out of power on a hill so went for it. Still getting over 50mpg (53 on this first tank) so I'm happy with that.

Euan, the Highline comes with the leather steering wheel and gear knob, but I upgraded to the multi-function too. Wouldn't be without it now!

Cheers tommy! Wanted to give a good impression for work, some guys dot around in Fiestas or Kangoo's, just not the same :p
Ahh the carparks! I dread parking in supermarkets, it is amazing just how many people don't care about other's property. The majority of dent removal is door dings, and there's only really one place you get them...

Will try and get some decent photos if I'm out somewhere nice while the sun is!

Definitely Adam! Nothing else really fits the bill

I've decided I want to reward myself with some mods towards the end of the summer, but still want to keep it in the warranty so will have to choose carefully!
