Quick addition over the weekend to test out how well the vinyl from my sun visors works with trim fix. Wanted something to stop my air freshener rolling around the dash so cut out a panel to fill the dash storage with a hole for the tin to sit in and wrapped it. Holds very tight pushed into the dashboard so I've no worries about the whole piece flying out

Finally got my bumper back on after starting it months ago. For a rattle can job this has come out better than I expected. The new exhaust tip finishes it off nicely

Amazing work my friend, I love it. So many great ideas I cant wait to try on my maxi build ill be starting soon. I'm new to the forum and this is my favourite build project I've seen so far. What a transformation!

Thank you, I'm sure that opinion will change after seeing some of the other amazing vans on the forum!

Cheers! Although I may end up redoing the trim as I improve with my sewing. I've also seen you started fitted vanity mirrors in the original visors on your build thread too, I think we may see a trend starting soon?!

Spent the best part of my day chopping up my dash to fit a touran glove box in. Much prefer the look of a full panel door instead of the caddy box with van-x door and the door I did have never really fitted right. Following a few peoples threads who've done this before I somehow got away with cutting much less out of the caddy dashboard than they have.
On the dash I cut the strip out along the bottom leaving the far end holes for mounting, a small slither along the top to sit the glovebox up tight but kept the original mounting holes, a gap for the hinge on the left, and finally drilled out the spot welds on the bottom of the metal bracket down the left of the dash.
On the glove box itself I cut off all the mounting tabs down either side and the two tabs on the top then drilled new holes in the top to mount to the original holes and one on the far right at the bottom.
The airbag on/off switch of the caddy doesn't fit in the touran cutout and neither does it have the aux port my original glove box had so I cut these out of the original box in a large panel and plastic welded this in place of the touran switch.
It does fit with the door on but I have no pictures with it fitted as I've disassembled it to begin trimming. Next job is to wire up the light to interior light fuse and work out where the glove box cooler commects to

One glove box trimmed and installed! Suede bottom, stretch vinyl upper, and carpet inside. Wired the light to the cigarette lighter 12v this way it will always come on if you open the door, and fitted some old pipe to feed the glove box chiller.
I had to get creative after struggling to wrap the vinyl around the handle cut out. I first tried sewing the extra in like a box but just couldn't get it right and after 4 or 5 attempts stepped back and realised the handle didn't need to be as deep as it was so fixed a square of plastic to halve the depth which allowed the vinyl to stretch much nicer around it.
As I said in my last post about cutting out the airbag and aux port I've added a picture to show what I did.

After a lot of deliberating, and the help of a black Friday discount, I pulled the trigger on a set of LED DRL light bar headlights from Travelinlite Transporters. In the end I really just liked the way they looked way more than the touran option.
Yes, the wires are not the neatest but with some loom tape and a bit of patience they can be neatened up no end and there isn't some awful rats nest behind them anymore. Performance is significantly better than the H4 headlights too as the low beam stays on with the high beam, and with coming home lights activated the LEDs actually light up the ground in front. I have fitted a full set of Osram Cool Blue Intense bulbs so that no doubt helps with the output and the colour matches the LED bar to keep it all matching.
