Another small addition, satin chrome window switches (both sides but only took a photo of the drivers).

Van is looking cool

When you did the rear bumper did you have to change the metal bumper bar to a mk4,also are they mk4 or mk3 sensors.

Hi mate, no both the bar and sensors are the original MK3 items. I used MK4 sensor holders and also changed the plastic side mounts to MK4.

Real Carbon bumper protector from VW Carbon arrived today. I was worried the width and drop would be wrong, but a quick offer up doesn’t look too bad. Hopefully fit it at the weekend if I get time to clean the van. If I’m honest I’m not a massive fan of bumpers protectors but with two dogs it’s a bit of a must so I’ll see if it lasts.

I’ve got one of those carbon bumper protectors. I can’t have the textured plastic as I often get paint drips on it where I work from the back of the van.. These work well for me as I can easily machine polish off the drips where the textured ones would just get ruined.

Yeah I had a look at a few different ones and this seemed to be the best looking one (plus everyone loves a bit of carbon

). Good to know it can stand up to work/regular polishing, as I was worried about my dogs claws marking the laminate beyond repair.

No they’re pretty tough tbh. The finish on them is quite resilient. Mine still looks like new after almost 3 years and lots of polishing

Only negative I can say about mine was the double sided tape was useless and came unstuck. It’s now tiger sealed on

I’ve got the mk4 shape bumper going onto mine soon so I’ll need to get one like yours as my current one is the old shape.
