Should hear about the original fuel pump shortly.
Last fuel pipe replaced this evening, not been for a test but not expecting a fix.

If you are wondering. 4 VW injectors, full set of VW fuel lines flex and hard line inc bleed off. 2 VW injector clamps and bolts. VW pressure valve. Reconditioned regulator and pump.

All after visiting VW to code in a rack….. well problems two days after.

That would be a pretty penny
Seeing as it was at VW for the rack repairs did they come to the party to foot the bill ??

Well original pump back from testing. Nothing wrong with it.

Early morning start ,for me, tomorrow. Off to VW for them to run some diagnostics.

But I think it will come back as a fried engine control unit.

The other weekend I thought I should check the condition of the terminals on the engine management box.

Pulled the panel out of the way picked up the chop saw to remove the shear bolts….. what bolts! They were not there. So I deduce that the van has had a map on it. And the 1 hour job the other VW garage took 3 hours to do most likely did something to the unit. Happy to be proven wrong but….

Have a source for a used unit as new are way out of my reach after the 4 injectors. But will still need VW to code the immobiliser etc in.
