Splitterless so I don’t smash it off Had the sun strip fitted after getting a new windscreen and I’ve since got rid of the grill chromes.

Funny you say that mate. I got pulled over (first time in about 20 years) by a very obnoxious little jobsworth of a copper a few weeks ago. He took great pleasure in saying that ‘your van comes back on the system as being purple, but you’ve obviously wrapped it in black! So I’m going to report you for not notifying the dvla about the colour change’ with a smug look on his face. I walked to the back of my van and got my led lamp out, pointed it onto the paint and asked him what do you see?

He subsequently had to scrub it off the ticket

Yes some do get a bit smug when they have you at the side of the road. Seems a bit harsh on the plate though. Hope you never got fined.

No, no fine. Just had to get the ticket stamped by a garage ( I work in the motor trade ) to say I’d changed it……….which obviously by the above photo I didn’t

Notice the ticket didn’t mention the spacing or the 4D lettering? Just a kite mark

I had a similar incident years ago. A copper thought I was beeping him in a road rage type incident when he didn’t go at a green light (like I’d ever do that) when it was the driver behind me. Pulled me and tried to have me for inappropriate use of the horn. I asked him if he could tell the difference between my a6 horn and the angry Mercedes driver’s horn. He admitted he couldn’t in the end so I told him that wouldn’t sound great in court.
He was an obnoxious little so and so too. All 5’5” of him!

First thing this idiot asked me, from behind his medical mask was ‘what’s the nature of your journey’? I said I didn’t realise we were in nazi Germany and that it’s none of his business. Ive no idea who these jumped up little twats think they are.

Bloody good answer Stu!!! I’ve worked alongside the police for over over 30 years through my forensic career and I can honestly say that traffic cops are a breed on their own! I’ve known bobbys that have been great PC’s and DC’s that have moved over to traffic and have morphed into professional power wielding pigs!!
