We've had a few done over the years and still have 18 years NCB.

One tip if you go this route, go to them at a depot instead of doing it at the house, they have better gear there and do it while you wait. You get a better result than the mobile vans sometimes.

Also could hire a vapour / smoke machine, stick it in the van and let it rip, you'll see where it comes out.

I have a smoke machine at work but I’d assume it would leak everywhere being a van Image
I’ll tape up the vent on the roof

Good shout, if it comes out of doors or seals, tape those too.

Years ago Vw used to have a spray for the rubbers for the mk1 tt convertible used to make the rubbers swell up ImageImage
