Ah ok, I'd check for fault codes on the controllers then, engine ECU etc and look for water ingress and bad wiring. The ECU being under the scuttle tray can get wet or corroded. Plugs etc.
Disconnect the battery before pulling the ECU plugs off.

Had a quick check and all fault codes are the normal ones for low battery levels.
Charged the battery and seems normal again
Time will tell ...

Low battery voltage can do strange things on a modern vehicle! ECUs act crazy when the battery is poorly.

The Fan issue must have started the battery low situation as I had driven the day before so the battery should not have been really low.
Just have to wait and see what happens over time
Thanks for your help.

It seems you can't get rid of the bulb error with VCDS or Obdeleven. Only VCP can do it (Vag Can Pro) and that will ONLY run on Windows 7x32 bit and nothing else (believe me I've tried) and is also dangerously powerful.
You need the kit from AliExpress with the license dongle and then need to watch the videos on installation. Antivirus goes mental when you try to install it, takes nerves of steel and not on a machine you use for internet banking for example.
It does not work in a virtual machine, or windows 10 or 11.
Thanx! Just got my Vag Can Pro home, to run on my diagnosic laptop (Windows XP). Hope it will work. Although, changing anything in the BCM coding seems to be a huge risk and when ever I read something about it there is always clear warnings.
Anyone have a decent description on how to do the coding from Mk3 to Mk4 taillights on a 2010-2015 caddy? Using VCP that is.
Thanks!

You also need "vaghelper neXt" software to edit the hex bytes for the PQ35 B+ platform cecm, go find a website called
www.binunlock.com, I just joined it and it's fantastic, free, and has these tools available. Get vaghelper and when you do a dump of the central electrics module 09 using VCP, vaghelper can modify the correct bytes to fix the tail lights. Also runs on windows xp. Then you write it back using VCP and the lights are working. I'm looking into doing the DRLs to led coding.
One warning, DO NOT touch byte 18 or hell will descend upon you. It is a hidden value showing only 00 and protected in PQ35 platforms and deep misery results from touching it. You won't need to touch it for what you want anyway. Get over to that forum and sign up, then get vaghelper. Post questions on what you are trying to do and you will get clear answers.

Thanks for the tip!!
I found a video on YouTube explaining how to. It didn’t say anything on byte 18. But as you are saying, didn’t need to touch it at all.
Found binunlock as well yeasterday through a google search. Also found VAGHelper through another website and ended up using it from there.
This video was pretty helpful during the coding:

Not the best pic, but at least I got it working properly!

Hi all,
New here, got my caddy few weeks ago. It came with only one key and didn't have remote locking
Been messing around with universal lock kits and all sorts.
But today I managed to code the original CCM to accept a new remote key and it all works perfectly!
Now for electric windows
