Thanks! Been working on both bumpers to try and get the bodywork finished.

I did an autoscan with vagcom and got this:

Address 42: Door Elect, Driver Labels: 1K0-959-701-MIN3.lbl
Part No SW: 1T0 959 701 T HW: 1T0 959 701 T
Component: Tuer-SG 009 2110
Coding: 0000560
Shop #: WSC 35110 377 08192
VCID: 4894584F3B1C1658A8B

2 Faults Found:
00912 - Window Regulator Switch; Front Left (E40)
008 - Implausible Signal
00913 - Window Regulator Switch; Front Right Driver (E81)
008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

As the switches are brand new, apart from bent pins which I will check for, what else could this be?

Have you tried just clearing the codes as it may think they're faulty as you have had them disconnected

Failing that they may not be designed for the caddy? And so they're shitting a brick lol

You could just swap the top 'toggle' parts onto your old switch module if you think it's not compatible.

I'll try clearing the codes but its not the switches themselves as had similar issue before swapping them. Guess I'll be stripping the drivers door down again! Are the windows controlled the CECM or a separate module? I'm wondering if its a little coding issue.

Tried clearing the codes but one persisted so I stripped the door panel off, disconnected and reconnected everything and voila, stupid thing started working again. Wasn't loose and no bent pins so no idea what that was all about!

Thanks to Bigharty I now have oem coded xenons so the LEDs stay on with the dipped and main beam. Whilst I was at Hazzy Dayz, I got them to look at why DAB didn't work on my RNS315. It was the missing cable in the door back to the stereo and so a simple enough job for them (and cheap for me!). They also made up some looms for the Golf R drls in the custom bumper so I can run them as fogs. They're LEDs so not the best foglight option but better than nothing. They ended up putting a relay in the bus bar and a separate fuse so no bulb warnings on the dash.

DAB on all the way home and it never dropped out. Really impressive sound quality and I now get Planet Rock!

Got a plan to speed up some of the bodywork and going to take a mould of the small additions to the front bumper that blend into the new arches in case there's ever a problem in the future.

Yeah, we don't talk about that! They are so good at night though. Best headlights I've ever seen. Illuminate such a massive amount of the road ahead and yet no one has flashed me thinking I've got full beam on.

No. It's still got the Scirocco image so only shows boot, bonnet and doors. Didn't know if it could be changed but its not a big deal to me.

Scirocco has 3 doors, so when you open slide door cluster did not show any door open .
