Re: 3.2 v6 DSG Supercharged 4X4 Multi link Conversion
just read through all of this very nice work, ive done the 4 wheel drive conversion on mine ive made turrets in the rear and used bc racing adjustable shocks. Its night and day difference on the handling from the old leaf springs

@Craig2681 Thanks for reading through. I’ve got the BC adjustable too. They are a fair bit wider than the standard shocks and the fact the a3 rails are narrower and on the inside of the caddy rails make it look more likely il have to notch the original chassis and have to make some turrets up. How did you mount your rear subframe? Everyone seems to do it differently

Re: 3.2 v6 DSG Supercharged 4X4 Multi link Conversion
I used the rear frame rails from a mk5 golf r32 and welded them in, you have to notch the caddy rails for the top arms as they hit, as for turrets i used 3 inch exhaust pipe cut down the middle and welded that in with a top mount welded on seam sealed it all in and its more than strong enough, Ive done more than 1500 miles in it and its never missed a beat so far. one thing i highly recomend is fully adjustable arms arms so the tracking can be dialled in perfectly as even using a laser to line everything up you cant get it mm perfect

@craig2681
Sounds exactly how we’ve done it. Just started notching for top arms last week. Me and Shrek spoke about the cut tube idea but not fully settled on anything yet. Good to hear of another 4x4 caddy thanks for the info
