There are ones that are 3D printed
Always wanted one but set my mind on a cnc router now.
Was thinking if they were metal they’d make a great branding iron if done reversed, looked at having one made to stamp the things I make from wood
How big are they and where are you putting them?

They are about the size of a fag lighter..... I'm gonna put them on the dash of the caddy and my camper, and probably one of my bikes!

Loving those mate

So I read, you can also 3D print plastic parts and make a gun. Use it to shoot someone and melt it down afterwards.

I didn’t know they could be used for metal parts. You learn something everyday

You can have a look at the progress since I picked him up the beginning of October... on insta, currently_captain_spaulding

At least you’ve got a good excuse. I’ve done sod all to my van and I haven’t got a boat to fix up!
Hope it’s coming along well fella.

Looking good mate. A lad in our work spent 35 grand on a small oil tanker to live on. He’s been ripping it out for the last 2 years, then adding weight back in to get it sitting right in the water. He’s now just starting to fit it out. He’s doing it on his own but he’s got a crane on board though.

Yeah, it’s a huge project, 100 ft long. He reckons 5 years to completion.
I considered buying a narrow boat to live on before I bought my first house. I got spooked by the cost and depreciation (I enquired about a new one at £70k) and bought a house..........in 2007 that lost a shed load of money in 2008.
I’m still renting the bloody thing out now. Bain of my life!
Should’ve bought the boat!!

The boat wasn’t my ideal first choice!! The ex is still not off my back, so this gives me a home, without paying rent, and officially I’m homeless...!
It’s not a hardship, though it does need planning and adapting to what’s ‘normal’ a bit! But hey, what’s normal anymore anyway!!
Mine is only 55’.... hrs got another 45’ of hassle!!

I think it’s a great idea mate to be honest. I think once it’s all done you’ll be much more relaxed, and I’m of the opinion that it beats being saddled down with a big mortgage any day.
Don’t forget, sometimes normal is boring
I’d sooner have a boat and a caddy than a massive mortgage and a Kuga/Sportage/3 series.

Ha! Mate, it’s no hardship, in fact I’ve had some of the best days ever onboard with Corinne and my dogs...! What I mean is, I never planned for it to go this way... but it has, and I’m making the most of it and loving it!! It’s becoming a floating man cave at the minute.... I’m just deciding whether to turn my vintage 60’s radio flyer into a shelving unit or a towel rail!!

Definitely not mate. I think it’s a great way to live and I’m a little envious. Michelle said the same the other day. She used to work with a girl who lives on a narrow boat with her husband, she said it was lovely when she visited it.
