Air suspension definitely isn’t a fan of continuous sub zero winter conditions….

Found the tank at 0psi on Tuesday, and with a significant leak which caused the tank to empty after circa 30mins. Unfortunately I haven’t had time to look at it until today, which has meant excessive run time on my compressors (again in sub zero conditions). This has ultimately led to blowing one of the fuses. The compressor appears to be working fine now, so fingers crossed it hasn’t done any permanent damage and was due to temp.

Traced the air leak to be one of the check valves passing. On stripping it it didn’t look too bad, at least no where near as gunked up as the last time I replaced them 2 years ago. Nevertheless I replaced both of them and all associated fittings and lines.

Also drained the catch can which was surprisingly full after only a month or so. I removed the intake just to check there wasn’t any oil residue, and found it to be clean as a whistle, so thats reassuring that the can is doing its job and keeping all that crap out of my oil, engine and intake.

Not a lot going on with the van at the minute so it’s nice to get some progress photos sent of the Rotiform lips from C6 Carbon, going to look amazing once Paul’s finished doing the resin. 🤌Image
Looking forward to getting them back now, and the wheels over to wheel unique to get finished ready for summer. Who knows I might get some interest to do a show with these…

They look awesome dude, I’ve got notifications on whenever you post as I know it’s going to be something special! I absolutely love the Audi wheels mate, I think they have to be my favourite on your car! Are they 20s?

Cheers mate, much appreciated. Nothing so special happening at the minute other than winter trying to destroy it, and me trying to keep on top of it. I need some nice weather so I get it cleaned up and hopefully get interested again.
Yeah they are 20’s and probably my favorite also, just suit it so well. But I do like to change between the sets I have to give the van a different look.

Can I ask if you know if they do them in 19s? And what car did they come from? I’ve struggled like crazy to get wheels to fit over my brembo 18z fronts, and really am at a loose end on how to get a set that will fit or even be able to give dimensions to a company of what wheels would fit.

I’m not sure if genuine ones come in a 19” version tbh, If not you’d probably be able to get some aftermarket ones in a 19”. Mine are for an A6.
Yeah I’ve always found wheel companies aren’t particularly helpful when it comes to measuring up wheels to confirm fitment, I suspect it’s because they don’t actually know the product they are selling.

First contact wash since 2024 done (on the van and daughters beetle). First thoughts are it doesn’t look too bad, but I’ll save full judgement until the sun hits it properly Image.
Nice to see the various assortment of waxes and coatings are still present and doing their job. Looking forward to getting the 20” Audi wheels on now as I’m sick of looking at the tatty AMG wheels, I’m definitely going to have to get them refurbished for next winter.

Suns out and the gritting has ended so the Audi wheels are back on, which I’m very pleased about. The tatty condition of the Merc wheels and the constant rattling from the dog cage (and all their mess), had made me loose interest in the van tbh, so much so I very briefed contemplated putting it up for sale. It’s always a struggle attempting to keep it at a half decent level of cleanliness, whilst using it year round.
Happy again now that the brakes/arches and van is generally tidied up, just need to order some fresh bolts for the disc’s.

I think the van is missing Christmas….

Was welcomed this morning to a Christmas tree dash! Front right ABS sensor replaced and back to a fault free van.

Is this an easy fix ?
I recall reading someone had a damaged wire
I guess the sensor is plugged n play
Does it need to be coded after the new one is installed ?

Hi mate, yeah very easy. Wheel off, one bolt to remove, ease sensor out of hub, clean up sensor hole with file and spray, fit new sensor, clear fault codes, reset tyre pressures monitoring (if fitted) and good to go. No need for any coding or anything.
Obviously mine never had any damaged wiring, but wiring damage is usually rare.

I remember this happening to me travelling up to Sheffield last year in my audi.
Lost abs, mag ride, adaptive headlights, ESC, parking assist. Like yours looked like a Christmas tree .
Obdeleven pro always travels with me, and was easy to diagnose enroute.

It's amazing how much one sensor can cause alot if errors. Bought a spare on for the other side and kept a small kit if tools in boot, those just incase moments.

Glad you got it sorted buddy, the van is looking great as always .
