I've some magnets that are mega strong. They hold anything up!
A few of them and a metal number plate would work..

I Mentioned this in another thread the other day.....at Alldubs on Sunday there was a really nice BMW estate, he had a quick release mechanism fitted to the towing eye, when he wants his plate off he just pops it off and puts the towing eye cover back on, really smart solution, unfortunately I can't give you any more info than that, worth looking into though eh?
Nick.

I've seen those or similar before. I don't have a tow hook cover in the front so that's not going to work but maybe a similar custom setup could be made that mounts to the crash bar and provides the bracket that the plate attaches to. I'll get my thinking hat on. Currently finishing the rear bumper and sorting out the crash bar clearance issue I have there.

This is going to look so good! Really looking forward to seeing how the rear bumper comes out, as we are interested in doing something similar.

Looks cool. I think I would do the same with reflectors and towing eye cover, in the name of smoothness. When you getting your exhaust built up for this?

I've got a contact through APS that can adapt the MK5 Golf R32 Milltek backbox I already have.

Can't fault the work your doing mate, I'm with you on losing the tow eye and reflectors. I'd also be smoothing the side swage lines as to me its a busy looking bumper on an otherwise smooth rear. Will be nice with the lower section in black as you mention.

The swage line is necessary to blend the Cross arches into the bumper. I think it will work once painted as it flows from the front along the wheel arches, down the side skirts and through the rear bumper. At least that's the theory! It's also a section of the Cross rear bumper which I bonded on so deleting it now is almost impossible!
