I have to be honest, load ratings aren't even near the top of my considerations when it comes to choosing tyres for the van

These are 91Y XL (extra load), I don't even know what it 'should' be for a caddy but these conti's are put onto some serious performance cars which will test them in all areas far more than my little caddy ever will pootling back and forth to work.

I think that you’ll be ok but mine has to be at least 93 as MOT testers can fail this also in the event of an accident the insurers can void your insurance

Ooops, my tyres are also 91Y (XL) - didn't think this to be a real problem as my caddy will never be under heavy load. Hope it won't be an issue

Wouldn’t think it would be an issue with yours as it’s not a maxi - the rear axle load is the killer mine’s 1300kg mini mum 93 rated

For the L1 91 load index is ok but if a Caddy is lowered like a lot are doing as low as the set can go... you’ll never be able to Carry the maximum load. L2 needs indeed a little higher index.

Glad I didn’t put the new wheels on yet
It was nice to press the remote start button from my bed this morning then watch all the snow slide off it as it slowly warmed up. Definitely one of my favourite mods!

Great build and thread! Some cracking mods there. The simple but useful one i like the most is the solid bulkhead covers with the removable panel. Great idea.
Also...
Nice, very nice, esp in this weather! Have you done a thread specifically on the remote start? Or do you have anymore information on this?

Thanks guys.
The remote start feature is part of the Clifford Viper alarm system I had fitted a few months ago. That part of it is really coming into its own at this time of year but I imagine it'll be equally as useful in summer when I can cool the cabin down with the air con before getting in
The removable solid bulkhead covers have worked out great. I use them to stick my fishing rods through so they're really a must for me as I just wouldn't be able to fit them in otherwise.
