This afternoon has been spent disrupting the neighbourhood with profanities and some very dodgy hamfisted bodging. But I eventually got the arm rest in, I opted for cutting the false floor rather than the actual tower. I just need to find a way to tidy up the back of it, I haven't cut the part where the bulkhead holding screws go but I may have to if I'm to fit the whole unit with vents and cup holder without cutting the plastic.
Now I need to start work on the rear and try to turn it into a usable bike holder and camper.

I'm in the process of slowly modding my maxi also... Keeping a close eye on your thread. Good work.

I've just bought carpet and lights and a couple of other bits and pieces, so hopefully in a couple of weeks, she'll finally be kitted out and looking smart in the back. With longer summer nights, progress will be a bit quicker with a bit of luck.
Been browsing the T4 forum and think I've come up with a workable solution for the bed. I do now want a T4 however, there are some smart looking interiors over there...

Personally I find them alright - My first car was a bog standard original Corsa, the suspension was so soft, if you went over a speed hump you had to wait 10 minutes for it to stop bouncing so anything firmer than that I consider a bonus.
When the roads start getting bumpy it gets a bit tiresome especially if you can't swerve to avoid the potholes, but not enough to make me wish I had different suspension, a lot of people on here who have experience of many different suspenions might tell you different, but I live with it fine, though after having driven through York in it, I'd draw the line if I had to drive on cobbles everyday.

Mmmm sounds like they are quite firm then ? I'm used to eibach springs where the ride quality doesn't alter from factory ...

Ah the joys. Did you leave the arm rest off till you reset the hand brake
You will have to cut the center re-enforcement bar of the bulkhead if you want the vents etc in

Not quite sure what you mean. I fitted the armrest all in one go, you can still access the handbrake after you've fitted it as long as you have the back panel with vents and cupholder off.
In other news, I have started the process of carpeting. Got one side done this evening, hopefully get the other done tomorrow and then I'll be working on getting as many panels/floor/roofing done as I can on Friday night before heading over to Shrewsbury for Deva Dubs on Saturday. Going to be some late nights this week....
I also got talking to the guy that runs the spray shop next door to where I work. They've currently got my grill and will be spraying it tomorrow, gone for gloss black, I'll reserve judgement until I see it, but for £20 it's got to be better than it is at the moment considering it's been stained white by bird crap.
If I don't like it I'll just buy a new grill with a badge and black it out, definitely prefer the look of the ones with a badge so it'd be a good excuse to do it.

Not sure if I'm sold on the idea, it now needs the bumper redoing, lower part colour coding and the then black parts being done in gloss for it to look right, just don't know if I like it enough to do it or not.

Thanks guys.
Just a little update. New stereo and heater dials. Not so keen on the look of the Kenwood but in terms of functionality it works much better for me. It can be controlled from the steering wheel, I get some radio stations, I can now use my iPod in the car properly and the best thing is, it turns on and off with the ignition.
Need to stop spending on interior bits now and save up to get the six speed gearbox fitted, mirrors fitted and get all the paintwork sorted.

No a/c, you're right. Couldn't find one with the spec I wanted in the colour I wanted,
My ideal spec would have been the 2litre version, with fogs, electric windows and mirrors and ac but it had to be blue. Unfortunately I couldn't find one and this was the closest I got with fogs and electric pack. Looking back it'd probably have been cheaper to find one with everything I wanted and then respray. That said, this was already lowered and had the touran bumper which was a major selling point for me.
