Well it was worth a shot, but it made no difference. Thinking about it, anyway, I have 2 12 volt supplies at the plug so I don’t think I have missing fuses.

I made a mistake, its SB4 30Amp and SB25 40Amp. There should be a 5Amp fuse in SB3 for the Onboard supply control unit -J519-.

If you scroll down to the bottom in this link you can see the 2009 diagram file:///C:/Users/Wayne/Downloads/Fuse%20Box%20Diagram%20Volkswagen%20Caddy%20(2k%3B%202003-2010)%20(1).pdf

No joy Even with this fuse combination it comes up with the same message: Requirements for output test not met.

Looks like the pump or it's controller are faulty then if you can't find any corrosion on plugs or damaged wiring.

Yeah, I think it’s gonna need to come off and checked or a replacement found.

Bit of an update: I swapped the pump out at the weekend and was able to perform an output test and proceeded with the brake bleeding until I sheared one of the bleed valves on a rear calliper. So it seems it was the pump after all Thanks to all who gave their input.
I also discovered that I have a broken leaf spring so I will have to tackle this also. Mine I believe are original and corroded so I couldn’t see a part number to find a replacement. It’s a 2008 LWB if anyone knows what part number would fit. I had a look on eBay etc but there are so many part numbers popping up I wasn’t sure which would be suitable?
