Yeah, research is part of the journey as is discovering that you need separate paid for access to Erwin for VW and Audi

Jeffers, when you go online have a plan for what you want to download, don’t spend ages reading, spend the time downloading the pdf files

Cheers Chris, so you don’t have to print the pages off in the allotted time you can download them as a pdf too ?

That’s handy

That's correct, I used the print function to print them as pdf's, saved to my laptop.

Ah right cool think that’s the way I will do it and then go through them and print to paper later

@C Chris bit off topic but you're local to me I think and I've seen you mention scrappies. Which one(s) is it you go to? SCB out at Newbridge used to be my go to but the last time I visited I was disappointed to find they don't have an open yard any more, and the prices they were asking for bits over the counter were pretty eye watering. £25 minimum charge if they need to go and find a part? No thanks. Shame because they usually had a pretty good selection. Anyway, TIA...

timangus hi buddy, yeah, SCB are to be avoided now as they want premium prices and prefer to sell on the likes of EBay.

The one I use over your way is U-Pull-It, Inverkeithing. Good yard, good website and fair prices! They update their website overnight with the new cars and tend to head over early if there’s something I need, easy for me as I’m retired they insist on safety footwear and a high vis vest/jacket and charge £1 entry!

I also have one 3 mins from my house, however they are a very small family outfit and it’s very much hit and miss with them.

So, postie arrived this afternoon…

Still collecting essentials for my upgrade whilst waiting on my ECU being tweaked, plan is still looking like 29th November for the swap as my hand is now useable again Image

Last couple of questions regarding a couple of relays answered…

Hopefully it’ll be up and running before Christmas! Exciting times!

me too!

ECU problems are delaying things a little, however, we have light at the end of the tunnel and it should be soon, so much so that I’ve looked out the GoPro’s and charged them up

So, progress being made on the ECU, yay!

Meantime, while clicking aimlessly through marketplace I came came across someone less than 5 miles away that some hens teeth that he was looking to pass along…. Image

The guy was a top bloke, wouldn’t take anything for it, and we had a good chat about the R32 engine and stuff.

Audi, no more, VW, more Image

I’ve not stopped smiling since I picked it up! Needs a little cutting to remove some light swirls, but overall pretty amazing!

And I’m running out of space to store stuff… Image
