Haven’t done anything on the van for a while as it’s just been parked up due to having an operation. But this week I managed to smooth and repaint the engine cover, paint the B post trims and also the headlight filler plates.

Cheers mate. You’ll have to get a build thread started.

After repainting the engine cover and fillet plates I decided the fuel filter housing looked dreadful, so I made a cover for it. Quick trip to Screwfix for a 110mm waste pipe end cap, some cutting, sanding and painting later and it was done. I think it looks loads better.

Finished.

The rough cuts were cleaned up prior to painting and the notches were added so it sits over the screw heads in top of the filter housing

It sat tight on the screw heads but as I precaution I also added some small bits of Velcro.

Nice mod Chris, tidies that ugly thing up no end. I was looking at mine last week and planning to hammerite it to clean it up.

I've just been chuckling to myself at how glossy the paint is on your engine cover..!

Ridiculously good!👍

Thanks lads. I looked everywhere for something that would work, who’d have knew a £4 shit pipe cap would have been the solution
