Hi, this is a really nice and thorough caddy you have here. May I ask which part number your speedometer has?

Well done :D
Why not go further ESC OFF and HDA?

Hill Descent Assist
Byte 6 bit 1 (0 -> 1)
Byte 14 bit 6 (0 -> 1)

ESC OFF
Byte 15
Bit 6 (0 -> 1)
Bit 7 (1 -> 0)

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the tips, I will have to do some research. Do I need a dash button for the Hill Descent Assist?

Yes you do.
Just run fused ignition feed via switch and bring it to PIN 8 on your ABS unit.

Firstly- love this thread, for the OEM mods, and the nice photos.

The hardest part would be having a button made for the Hill decent control that fits in the mk4 caddy dash.

Someone like double-apex might be able to help

Been tidying up the fuse box the past few days, it was a mess. I re-run all the wires that were added since I got the van and got rid of the fuse holders that plug into the front of the fuse box, re-pinned with terminals into the back of the fuse box. Followed the OEM routes as best I could and labeled the wiring I had added.
Install the CAN Bus extension cable also, really handy to add more wiring to the CAN Bus now.

Nice job there, it gets quite tight behind these fuseboxes .
I remember when I was looking for the correct cable ferrules for the rear pdc sensors I fitted on my mk3 caddy. I must have spent weeks searching for the correct name for them so that I could crimp and push the 12v in the correct fuseway of the box haha.
I won't forget these in a hurry 'junior power timer '

Gave the dash top box another sanding to make it fit a bit better.
