Hi Simon, I was originally hoping to get it done this weekend just gone, but the stars didn’t align this time!
I’m now planning to get it done on the 29th April now

Hopefully you get it done on the 29th. Would be interested to hear how the van is after its been done.
A remap is on the list of things to do but there are so many people doing them its hard to know who to use.

thanks Simon

Fingers crossed mate. I’ve only heard people say positive things after getting a remap myself.

Where are you based? There’s a few reputable places that are doing remaps. DubUnit is one, Pendle performance is another. I think Darkside Developments do them too.

I'm based in sunny widnes. I don't mind travelling for a remap.

thanks Simon

You’re not far from me then…..I’m in Aintree.

DubUnit (the place that’s going to do mine) would be a good shout. It’s Burton on Trent so not really that far. Matt, the guy who owns it is a nice bloke, very helpful and flexible too. Lots of people on here have had work done by him. He’s well regarded on here.

I’ve had my van re mapped at DubUnit today. I can honestly say it’s one of the best mods I’ve done. It drives and pulls so much better than before.
I can’t recommend DubUnit enough. Matt is a seriously nice guy and is very professional in his work……he also makes a decent cuppa too It’s the place to go IMO.

If you read this. Thanks again mate

Glad to hear your happy with the result
I guess like with anything, there are some amateurs or cowboys out there (and giving the industry a bad name) which make those doing the right, honest n decent thing hard to find but once you do you like a happy little unicorn 🦄
Good results are worth the time taken to find the right person / solution and the investment 💰

the swan fiend I’ll be making a trip to dubunit myself soon as I need a shed load of bits sorting as well as a new map once said bits have been fixed I’ve heard nothing but decent reviews about dubunit and with them only being 40 mins from where I live it’s easier than having to Travel to likes of Yorkshire to see Andy at overboost.

Matt’s the guy to do it mate. I’d trust him to carry out any work on my van.

I added a switch earlier to control the BG fitted LED lightbar in the rear. I should have bought a 12v unit with switches in it but this addition was an afterthought. Anyway, all works as it should so I’m happy.

I did another little job on the van today. I fitted a folding table to the inside of the rear barn door. I used a piece of sheet steel that I, errr, borrowed from work and cut it and drilled it to act as a bracing plate. It’s sitting well and will be handy for putting cups of tea etc when we spend nights away in it.
