Well I wasn’t going to bother with a premium cluster because if all goes well I’ll have to replace the cluster in the future anyway. But when a set of Touran ones came up for a real good price I just could let them pass. I know they aren’t the 3D versions but they still look pretty cool. Thanks to Nikki @twinsport for doing the immo, coding and tank data changes.
Speedo/fuel gauge foil also swapped over to keep fuel filler symbol correct and my OCD in check .

One thing I have noticed is that these don’t show the service due data or have the Tyre pressure store option for the TPMS. Hopefully this can be rectified with a software update otherwise I’ll have to refit the originals.

Picked up some Satin chrome door handles and mirror switch today so swapped over the light diffusers ready for when I get my door cards and dash back.

Finally finished my additional cluster housing tonight, more hours than I care to think of have went into this (this is mod D). Top half is original Scirocco and the lower section is completely manufactured/bodged/moulded/knocked up (or whatever other term you want to use.
Can’t try it in the dash as it’s still away so I’m hoping it won’t look “stuck on” otherwise it will have been a big waste of time. If it does look right I think I’ll end up getting it trimmed in leather to match the dash but I’ll see once I get it in.
Still need to make the final loom up which I’ll do at the weekend but everything worked on the trial wire up. Just need some boost now......
