Nice productive day today.
Rear arch pieces joined and kit fitted.
MK7 golf GTI bumper plastic welded ready for filler.
Still need to either modify the Cross front spoiler to fit the bumper or blend the arches in like on Dans Caddy R.
Ignore the ride height as the van is a rolling shell so should sit lower when its built back together

Wow. That front bumper is going to look stunning. Flows really well with the rest of the kit. Amazing work as usual. Imagine what you could do if this wasn't just in your spare time!!

This van is going to look amazing, have you considered keeping the orange colour scheme as a homage to its origins!? Seriously though i think orange actually suits the caddy shape and my finger hovered over the orange swatch for some time when i ordered my van (bottled it in the end though-no pun intended

).
Great build thread, keep up the good work.

It is staying orange but its not the RAC orange. Not sure if its common knowledge yet so will let Matt tell you the final colour.

Yes guys it's staying orange ;-)
It's strange really, we noticed when prepping it that it was painted twice at the factory.
It had primer, orange, clearcoat, orange, clearcoat. This is because the vw orange is lighter than RAC orange so they must special order the vans and they choose orange ones and use it as an undercoat.
We have ordered porsche orange from the 997 GT3 and have painted the roof already.
It's exactly the same as the RAC orange :-)

No I'm going to be running 19's
I was going to get them refurbed and sold but too busy on the van at the moment.
They owe me £1400 with the new tyres as they are but need paint.
