Where did you find that sump guard - did it make tonnes of difference to the cabin noise..?
Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much were the barn door handle bits to buy over here & did it take long to order in..?
Thanks
Nic
Thanks Nic,
I got the sump guard from a wrecker. Its off a diesel golf. They are the same shape as the Caddy one but the insulation on the side that sits against the engine is slightly different. There was no issues fitting it.
My van is fully lined with Dynomat, ply and carpet so my van is very quiet. There has been no noticeable reduction in noise level with the guard fitted.
In total the internal handle and associated parts cost around $135.00. The handle alone was $75!! Most of the parts were available in Australia. I don't know which ones came from Germany as I just had my local VW dealer order them for me. Took about two weeks for them to arrive.

Put in some Cree reversing lights tonight. I had originally got some canbus error free bulbs from the UK but they caused errors. Returned them and got some from China for half the price. These cause no errors at all.

They are much brighter than standard. Almost complete overkill actually but helpful with the very dark tint I have on my windows.

let us know how they go! i had some before, very bright but didnt last very long. few months and one died. i like them puddle lights. i want to install puddle lights under the mirrors so when you unlock the car they light up, before you even open the door.
Btw, in case you might want to know. i got some inside trims from 2012 caddy today. door cards, b pillars, foot rest, scuff panels. all the same colour as the dash ! changed the look right away. the only thing they didnt have is the centre console with the arm rest, but it was still black.

Been looking for the trims for awhile. Can't find any one who wrecks Caddys in Melbourne so these parts a a but hard to come by. But worried about buying off the internet as Im worried I would get too many pieces with broken clips.
Will keep you posted on the lights.

what about this one ?

I messaged the guy about it but he told me parts were sold. i'm sure he was just being lazy when i told him i want most of the interior parts shipped to sydney. best way is to physically go there and watch him take things off and give them advise as they have no clue with most of the bits.

I have spoken to then a few times. They have been most unhelpful and seen to only be interested in selling mechanical parts.

Psyone- where did you get the trims from..?
This is my latest score from the wreckers.
Horace- are you planning to put seats in at any stage?
I'm not sure if I want to go ahead or just sell the conversion kit I've got

Seats? If you mean rear seat then no. I brought a van because I have no need for rear seats.
