Sounds like you've got a fair few mods lined up! Interested to see how you cut the wings to fit the mk4 indicators, I was too scared and cut the lights themselves, bit of 3m tape and they ain't going anywhere but the gap between them and the door is slightly annoying Nice door pulls btw

Cheers. Yeah it’s enough to keep me busy I think. I’d much sooner cut the lights mate. I did consider it but wasn’t sure how it would fit.
Did you cut the bit with the metal spring clip off?

What type of tape did you use?

Thanks

I think so, trimmed all the clips on the back flush, only the bulb holder poked through the hole. Then used 8mm wide Scotch 3M double sided tape. This does leave about a 5mm gap between the door panel gap and the back of the indicator but isn't really noticeable unless you're looking straight on at the side

Did you find the bonnet insulation on ebay or somewhere else I've been planning on that myself as the kids give me money for Christmas I might as well spend it on the van rather than the house 🤣🤣

@Handyandy it was on eBay mate, I just searched for ‘Touran bonnet insulation’ and it was the 3rd or 4th on the list.

They look great did you end up cutting the back of the light or bite the bullet and attack the body work with the dremel
Was the bonnet insulation a good fit as that was my only concern when I looked at them a few weeks ago I couldn't decide whether to buy one from eBay or go to tps

I ended up doing as Be4ny13 suggested and cut the clips off the indicators. Its works fine though the double sided tape I have is quite thick….i might see if I can get some thinner stuff to bring them closer to the wing.

I haven’t got the bonnet insulation yet as I only ordered it before, once I have it fitted I will report back here how it is.

Ok cheers I looked at the side repeaters a few years ago and wondered whether they fitted I
ended up buying the smoke led sequential indicators which broke about 2 weeks later when I washed the van utter crap with cheap plastic clips yours look spot on

I would love to see a pic of the rain protector in action :)
sounds like a sweet and easy mod for a wet situation
love the pull handles too - shame you couldn't get the material coded for the car
