Hi, cheers!

Yeah, the sliding cover. I tried turning the whole thing round with a little bit of modification to the holder, failed miserably

I’ll need to find another one and modify the other end with a support, possibly re-using the original slide guide to route it up the way or I’ll be having a sliding cover that goes forwards, not back!

Cheers for the quick response!

No worries mate. I should have took more photos to be honest, as I’ve had a few people ask.

More parts ready for the winter rebuild.
Alloy subframe, Passat alloy lower arms and Powerflex anti lift kit and front bushes. Still waiting on a full new bolt set, super pro lower ball joints and a new dog bone bush to arrive.

All ready to sit in the garage for a few month Image

Cool, did you notice much difference? I didn’t really fancy running the alloy hubs with my 18Z calipers so never bothered getting them.

Yea steering feels much better and responsive now used the alloy hubs an arms poly bushed with BC coilovers and super pro arb left the oem ball joints, did find had to get longer bolts for the RS4 calipers on the alloy hubs being thicker at that point

Nice upgrade you’ll notice the improvement. Are you fitting a standard dog bone bush? I fitted an ECS poly one and had to take it out due to vibrations, may be alright on a petrol but I didn’t like it in a diesel

Yeah I done the same on my white Caddy when it was diesel Steve, it lasted an hour before I removed it again , absolutely awful.
I’ve got the 034 Motorsport mount on order for this one, which is a rubber mount, so I bit more forgiving than polyurethane.

Another one for the list Giddy.

Another nice day so finished modifying the backing plates and painting the parts for my replacement rear axle and dual rear callipers. I can’t decide whether to get one piece braided lines or use hard lines with the braided lines to suit the R32 callipers Image.
Again won’t be changing until over winter.

Well the photos aren’t much (do have a video, but wouldn’t have a clue how to upload it) but as it’s a huge step for the van it needed logged in it’s build thread. I started this conversion (in my white van) using a 6600 mile MK7 Golf R CJX engine on the 5th May 2018 Image and the issues I had with the ABS and steering forced me to take it off the road and ultimately buy the Toffee Brown (every cloud has a silver lining and all that). Anyway this week/today I managed to resolve those issues and the van is now running perfectly with no ABS or steering faults. Still got a few things to work through before I break it down and swap it over into the Toffee Brown. EA888 Gen 3 CJX here we come Image.

Massive thanks to Nikki @twinsport for doing the numerous EPROM edits and other computer geekery and also @doc for access to his head, it wouldn’t have been possible without either.

Roll on the winter rebuild. ImageImage

Looking a tad dirty, having sat for a while

No warning lights Image (other than low fuel)
