Another mod in progress now.
My scrolling indicator is now intermittent on the near side headlight, I kind of expected something would fail eventually.
I’ve bought a used set of Touran lights and they’ll be going to EM Tuning for a LED conversion on the low beam. The rest of the lights will stay OEM to keep the costs down.
Having spoken to the bloke who works there, he says they will be MOT compliant as the beam can still be adjusted up and down using the manual wheel on the dashboard.
Once the old ones have been removed, the supports will be colour coded as previously planned.

The next mod…..courtesy of Trups@ EM Tuning.

I’ll be hopefully fitting these in the next week or so. I can’t wait to get them in.

The slickness has been noted Sean

I’d have loved to have gone with double projectors, scrolling indicators etc but the cost would have been astronomical!
Because the van is my daily and I need it for either work Monday-Friday or carting my drums around at the weekend. I find it hard to take it off the road sometimes.
I should have the use of my wife’s car this week if I need it so fingers crossed I can get them in before Tatton Park.
Still gotta fit the Touran carpets I’ve had for the last 18 months

Another little job I did this weekend just gone. The bottom rollers on the sliding doors had worn away the paint in the door channel.
I decided to fix this before rust became an issue.
I bought a protective strip from VW for £75 (yes, really) and I though sod buying another, so I made one in work using the VW one as a template.
Anyway, a good clean and some hammerite later and I’ve stuck the covers on using some scotch double sided tape. Bit hard to see from the photos, but it’s done the job!
Before

After painting….

Fitted cover.

I received my new Touran lights from
EM Tuning last week. I finally got them fitted this afternoon and I’m made up with them.
Driving to work in the dusk earlier, I can see they’re going to be great, it’ll be nice to finally be able to see where I’m going!!
Out with the old…..
In with the new…….
I’ll be honest, I really liked the look of the travelling lite ones, but with the left indicator going intermittent it was time for a change. I love the OEM+ look of these new ones.

Cheers Sean. I’m looking forward to having a proper night time drive. But seeing as how I’m on 10-6 this week it’ll have to be next week now.
I would have liked to go all out with scrolling indicators, funky DRLs and that, but the cost would have been astronomical!
