I determined that the connection I was unsure about was for the horn.

The dash is all in now. I’ve also done the drivers side door card too. Getting the A pillar trims on was a little awkward but I got them on and they’re sitting as they should. I’ll do the passenger side and the finishing touches in the morning.
One thing I’ve noticed is that the trim on the door cards and dash isn’t the same, I bought it all together expecting it would be but it’s obviously come from different cars. It’s not a major issue as I was thinking about getting the trims and radio surround hydrodipped anyway.
Final job will be sorting the window switch on the drivers door.
I’m really pleased with myself for doing this, I almost talked myself out of it but it’s been smooth sailing so far.

Fair play to you mate for doing something as involved as this out in the open on your driveway.
The touran dash really gives your vans interior a nice fresh and uplifted look.
Good job

A massive pay on the back
U tackled it head on with perfect results
Kudos to you
When I see people with their Dash's out and all those wires it scares me as I don't think I could do it
Happy driving

Cheers Stu. Now that I’ve done it, I will honestly say it’s not too bad a job. Providing you take your time, take photos and label stuff up to aid putting things back together.
It’s pretty much impossible to connect things back together incorrectly as no two electrical connections are the same, so if it fits, it’s right!

Cheers Sean. I’ve just finished fitting the passenger door card. There’s a stress mark just where you need to cut it. I’ve a feeling the car it came from may have been in an accident so it’s not quite fitting properly. I’ll get another at some point but I’ll live with it for now.
Yeah feeling good about it mate, I’d have never of attempted it if it wasn’t for the info on here though!
Would I attempt it in something that was better screwed together? Not a chance!!

Well done mate cracking job
The dash looks a lot more refined than the caddy one with no trays on the top and an actual glove box somewhere to hide all the crap that seems to accumulate especially in my van

Cheers Andy. The new one feels more premium and is definitely easier on the eye!
I’ve been disciplined so far in terms of what I put in the glovebox, but that’ll probably change.

I tend to keep paperwork in mine and pens and pencils but it can get untidy very quickly as half the time I get back in the van and have to empty my pockets of some of the tools I've forgotten to put away

And yet if you’re anything like me, you can never find a pen when you need one!

I’ve not done anything to the van lately apart from getting the wheels refurbished a few months back - they badly needed it!
I’ve gone for the standard silver as I’m a bit of a traditionalist.
Not sure what more I’m going to do to the van now if I’m honest. I feel I’ve done pretty much all I can with the relatively limited skills I have, and I’m thinking I’d rather not keep spending on it, apart from maintenance and keeping it in the condition it’s currently in.
I may have said that before though…….
